Lexedia is the home for people who would like to learn about the law and the American legal system, and for people who are considering doing some of their own legal work.
The law and the court system are a mystery for most folks. This is natural, since most people rarely have to interact with the legal system. However, almost everyone has to deal with it at some time. Lots of people get divorced, many people adopt children, and almost everyone will have to deal with the death of a family member at some time.
At Lexedia, our mission is to help people understand the law and navigate the legal system. Historically, people have relied on lawyers to walk them through this system. While lawyers can do this for people, the high high cost of hiring an attorney has caused many ordinary folks to go it alone, even if they can afford legal representation.
Americans have always had a “can do” attitude. We have been repairing our cars, remodeling our houses, painting our rooms, and growing our food for decades, even though we are not mechanics, carpenters, painters or farmers. Lots of people do things that they could afford to hire an expert to do for them. However, we do these things anyway, for the satisfaction of doing them, and sometimes to save a bit of money.
Even if you can and do hire a lawyer to help you with your legal issue, Lexdia will make you a smarter, and more savvy, legal consumer.
